Regarding Ben Shapiro, I've never subscribed to the belief that "my enemies enemy is my friend". You might have agreement on some points but the overall philosophy can be a big sticking point, as in he might be gender critical, but he is also anti choice. And other things, like gun control. His views on being gay are also interesting.

The predestination stuff is all very interesting, but if boys have to have short hair, how come Jesus had long hair? Is it only juvenile human males who aren’t allowed?

It doesn't come up in conversation. If someone asked me my opinion I'd give it but abortion hasn't been something that has really come up since I was a uni student.

Plenty of people I know have conservative views but don't bring them up at every opportunity.

"Liberal" people can, in my experience, be very aggressive with their views too.

Yes I often find you need to be loud when a group of people are advocating to remove your basic human rights based on their belief a book written a couple of thousand of years ago is sacred and should apply to everyone.
