Any carers?

Recently found out I don't get paid for picking up prescription for my clients, I usually have to collect out of my work hours and just assumed I was getting paid a set rate per pick up. Is this common with home carers ?

Can the prescription not be delivered. I wouldn't be collecting if I'm not being paid to. Surely theirs 3 or 4 carers per patient a day, is it always left to you?

Level b medication can be delivered but all level C needs to be collected by carers and booked in then stored away in a locked box, it's not always left to me I maybe collect 4 per month

Home carers I know are only paid when they're actually with the client anything outwith this is unpaid including travelling between clients. Some are only paid for a set time regardless if they run over time also so I doubt they would be paid for picking up things like prescriptions on their own time.

What would happen if you didn't collect prescription?

Are you able to do it as part of the clients call?

if not, your office need to arrange pharmacy delivery or pay you, it’s as simple as that.

What happens if you run over your time on a call? Do you get paid for the extra time? Can you claim it?

When I've been asked to collect one before my work & ive told them I don't have time they ask me to go in-between clients
