I have this strange dynamic with a colleague at work. He was friendly, then he abruptly stopped talking to me.
We have an open plan office and he'll talk around me and talk so that I can overhear but he never talks to me or asks how I am. It's always about him or his family and I'm a bit tired of it.
Other colleagues are friendly and they'll ask how I am. It's a mutual exchange.
I've only noticed this recently and refuse to treat him like the superstar he thinks he is.
