I've asked an EHO to visit the property after over a year of the landlord promising to do repairs and never doing them, along with rent increases I accepted hoping he would do something.
Ceiling is wet when rains, and leaks to the carpet, there's 3 walls that are corroding with salt damp and mold. They are literally crumbling you can't touch them much. The tiles in the bathroom are loose so almost falling too.
He came before Christmas and inspected the house wrote a whole list of problems...even told me the walls were expanding.
I've chased for an uptade after. He tells me now that the lanlord applied for a temporary exemption on the selective licensing and is trying to sell and if I wanted to reopen the case would take time.
My chile is immunecompromised and both EHO and landlord know this.
What the hell????? I asked for an inspection to serve notice for repairs... it does not matter if he is selling or not. I still live here I still pay rent every month,!!
I am unreasonable to write a letter of complaint?
