I'm sorry I just don't get him.

I liked him on Take Me Out, not really seen him in anything else. To be honest Top Gear went downhill as soon as they changed the presenters from Clarkson, Hammond and May so I wouldn't blame Paddy for that

Wasn't he a world class sportsman? Not a sport that I watch though, I assume that's why he was chosen to host A Question of Sport.

I had friend who worked with him back at the height of Peter Kay/phoenix nights fame. He was odious to say the least. Used to pull up porn photos and show them around. Repulsive.

This time on a Saturday I'm usually crafting whilst listening to Rylan. Obviously I'm not today.

I really liked him on Phoenix Nights and then went and watched him when he toured. He wasn’t that good and it has really put me off him since.

I remember seeing him do a TV interview about Take me Out years ago, and he was asked what witty chat up line he’d use if he was a contestant. He said he was very happily married and so didn’t need to do that, interviewer said yes I mean hypothetically if you were on the show- what would you say, he said I’m not going to answer that as I’m a married man.

I thought it was so odd at the time! I’d not bay an eyelid if DH answered that question. It’s not like they were asking which contestants he fancied!

I never like the fact that his wife was so young when he met her

I thought he was good from the second series of Top Gear, I wasn't keen on him at first but he was very funny.

I've never had a good feeling about him. He looks like he would be sleazy and uncouth.

There was a time when I quite fancied him, but he was standing next to Peter Kay in those days.

I heard him for about a minute this afternoon saying "bloody hell Sally".

He is not the only one like this, where I think wtf is the appeal. I assume that they are good behind the scenes, easy to work with, efficient and the like. It must be what keeps getting them rehired.

I can't stand his accent. It really grates on me, I can't watch anything with a northern accent.

we used to work for the same holiday company, different resorts, and have friends that know him. Think he was a bit of a knob back then.

Because southern accents are so much better 🙄🙄
The north is a big place and granted he does have a very broad Bolton accent
But we don't all.sound like him.

Despite people on here not liking him, he rates. It’s as simple as that. No ratings = no booking. Good ratings = lots of bookings!

Touched a nerve? lol no need to take it personally, it's just my opinion of him. I really can't stand that Bolton accent so anything he is in I just have to turn over.

It's the same for any strong accent, it grates on you after a while.

Saw him live as a comedian- never again. I don’t mind a bit of crude comedy when it’s clever but he went well beyond and came across as creepy. Was an eye opener.

However I don't have a broad accent

But the Bolton accent isn't representative of the whole of the north

He seemed a bit nervy on QT and what was he writing ? An essay !
