Any ideas to help practise/learn weekly spellings?

Year 4 boy, not getting great results and knocking his confidence

We do look, cover, write, check at school.

It seems to work.

Dd struggled with spellings.

We did them with letters in the bath
Magnets
Dry wipe boards
Texting

Anyway you can to make an awful job more fun

I feel for you - luckily our school uses spelling shed which luckily our yr4 boy engages with. But the look cover spell and check is a good suggestion or just saying it out loud phonetically until they get it and can do it letter by letter.
