I work from home and have regular teams calls, in this winter weather if I leave the overhead light on I look totally haggard, if I switch it off it’s too dark.

Recommendations please for a clip on light for my laptop that will make me look better. I’m looking on Amazon and there are thousands but I don’t know where to start!

I got a Kodak clip-on ring light for Zoom meetings and it's pretty good - it has a couple of different settings and USB charger, and is still going strong after 18 months. Would recommend it!

Thank you @MotherWol I will have a look! Do they generally have colour / to e settings as well as brightness ones?

@BarbieKew mine has three settings - white light, warm light and warm/white mix, which is the one that looks most like daylight so that's what I use most often.

I used to have a clip on one, but the circle reflected in my glasses! Now I have a tripod one, so it stands up higher than me, and I much prefer the light like that. It was just one of the first results on Amazon and has the different colour options, although I only use the warm white.

@Leumurshavethumbs oh good shout re glasses reflection, hadn’t thought of that. Definitely don’t want that!

Not the cheapest option looking at £50 to £60, but I use a video light panel. It's just under A4 size and has a camera thread, so fits any tripod you may already have. It has adjustable brightness and colour temperature. Runs off mains with A/C adapter, but without the mains it can last about 90 minutes on the highest setting and it's bright enough to light up a room if you have a power cut. It's about the same output as 3 x 100W bathroom spot bulbs! Can't link it as the one I have is out of stock, but just search for Neewer.
