Sudden lightheadedness

Should I go to A & E... For backstory I had a LETTZ procedure earlier today using local anesthesia. Had it many times before with no problems, anesthesia that is. Anyway, I've been feeling off sorts. All of a sudden I've just had a massiv wave of lightheadedness come over me. Felt like my head was gonna fall off my shoulders and felt like I was gonna pass out. Lasted about 10 seconds, now my heart is absolutely racing and I mean pounding. I'm started to panic and my insides feel like they are burning. My chest area mainly. No pain just like a warm tingle. What should I do?or is it even related to the procedure I had earlier? I feel absolutely awful and I'm getting myself all worked up and hat something is seriously wrong. My DP is getting fed up b cause he thinks I'm being dramatic but I just feel terrible. Granted I've made myself so scared and anxious that I'm probably making it worse. I don't know what to do.

I hope you feel better soon OP. And once you do I would start questioning when your panic attacks started. Sometimes you can subconsciously react to stress in your relationship in many different health ways. You seem to have a very uncaring and dismissive man in your life. Worth exploring.

My worse ever panic attack, triggered by no reason at all but going through the menopause, started whilst I was watching TV and suddenly, I felt an extreme sense of dizziness. I couldn't watch the TV at all any longer and laying down made it ten times worse. Then the panic attack started. Heart racing, sweat pouring down my back and front, shivering, sight all fuzzy, feeling sick and feeling like I was definitely dying.

After about 1/2 hour of sheer fear, I laid down on the floor in the foetal position and feel asleep (or passed out!). I then woke up and the dizziness/lightheadedness was gone and I started to feel better.

Oh what a mess. I feel like such a big baby. I don't remember being like this after my biopsy which I'm guessing was done with a local anesthesia too. This man literally can do one. I can't believe he would just leave me like his. He's fed up apparently and I didn't die all the other times I thought I was going to die so I must be fine he says.

I had this following my LLETZ. The local anaesthetic contains epinephrine (unless you specifically ask for one without) and bloody Nora did it give me anxiety/panic and a racing heart for several hours (although they do tell you your heart will only race for a few seconds, I felt dodgy for the rest of the whole day!).
Obviously keep an eye on your symptoms and if it gets any worse call 111, but yeah, I do recognise the feeling.

Thank you so much. This is reassuring. They did tell my heart would be sce fo a few mins and it did and I had some really bad random hard heart thuds too. And shaking but not a lot. Did you feel really dizzy too? And edgy? How was your recovery from the LETTZ?

I've had panic attacks since I was around 19. I'm 31 now.. way before I met my partner and had my son. Anything to do with my health or mortality or anything potentially dangerous (,,most things in life it seems) sets the off. I actually felt okay up until his incident so it came out of no where really for a change.

@AnxiousEveryday Yep, I was all of those things. Very jittery and on edge, a little spaced out too. I think it was a combination of the anaesthetic/epinephrine and being generally anxious about the procedure itself that just sent me funny for the rest of that evening.
Recovery was absolutely fine - bled randomly on and off for about 3 weeks but otherwise no issues!
Hope you're feeling better soon OP x

Do you take B complex vitamins? What vitamins do you take? Not for this problem but I find if I don't take my B complex I get a bit of anxiety back. Have you told your GP your medication isn't helping your panic disorder?

I used to be in a group online called No Panic. Might be helpful?

I feel a.bit better today. No dizziness or heart racing and don't feel cold anymore. Maybe I just had a funny turn, although I don't want to speak too soon! Just absolutely riddles with anxiety and feel a little out of sorts.

Try to rest today! Symptoms can be really scary when you're unwell or your body's been through something.

Your partner sounds uncaring and has behaved pretty badly.

Take care x

That's good news.
