To ask if anyone understands if you have full protection from the MMR vaccine after the first dose?

Ds had his around age 1. I’m just wondering if that means he is protected between then and the next dose when he’s 3-4 years?

Afaik if he’s responded to it then yes. But a certain percentage of people don’t respond to the first one which is why everyone has a second. That’s what I was told anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️
