To change name

I keep having baby name regret, on and off, I often feel like I have given the wrong name or that it doesn’t suit her. Baby is almost 1 now and this has been going on a while, I do not have PND but I am grieving a parent and not feeling quite myself. DH very much against changing name and flatly refuses any name change I’ve suggested! Anyone else had similar? Did it pass?

YABU - you can’t change her name name
YANBU - change it, if you can get DH to agree!

You’ve said yourself that you don’t feel quite yourself, so what are you doing to change this, have you had any counselling/spoken to GP?

what’s the name OP?

Can you have your own nickname for her? It possibly is connected to your grief. We often find a focus and your DD's name could have become your's.

If you are feeling low you need your husbands support so now isn't the time to antagonise him but perhaps wait until you do feel well and if the baby name is still upsetting you, sit down and talk it through.

It does sound like your focussing on the name as a distraction and blowing it up in your mind.

A nickname is a good idea, thank you

OP- what did you decide to do? If you didn't change it, do you feel ok about it now?
