Honestly am I being a princess here

We're away for a couple of nights in a lovely hotel for a much needed break.

Lovely room and bathroom, opportunity for a nice soak in the bath and a pamper. Brought my nice smellies

Come back from the pool and goes to run my bath and DH HAS DONE IT AGAIN

💩 💩💩💩💩💩💩

Had a big smelly 💩 in a bathroom with no windows, knowing I was heading for a long soak and pamper

Every time. Why not use the ones in the gym, bar, reception, restaurant. Anywhere but where I was going for a bath. He does it every time and doesn't see why it's a problem

Gah

I see your point 🤷🏻‍♀️

😊 thanks! At least someone gets my frustration

Now I'm listening to him slumbering peacefully and I'm awake! Tho can't really say he's being thoughtless about that 🤣

OP I completely agree with you!
My DH always takes himself off in a hotel so he doesn't stink out the room. I just assumed everyone did that?

Bloom15 · 02/02/2024 07:08

Yes you are being a princess! Why can't he use the bathroom for what it was designed for but you can?!

Surely you just wait for a bit 🤷🏼‍♀️

MzHz · 02/02/2024 07:12

Tbf, this would annoy me too. Every time we’re about to go out and I want to get myself ready/di make up etc, it feels like he nips in and stinks the place out. I’ve trained him now to use one of the other bathrooms in the house, but do have to remind him. I agree with you.

oh and swimming pools have chlorine, that needs removing from your skin/hair.

Tilllly · 02/02/2024 08:23

@KeeeeeepDancing
Not according to this thread! We just had a stinky room, (tho since the loos then broke, we've moved rooms) and these days, hotel rooms have those restrictive on windows so you can't really air it out either

Ill get separate rooms next time 🤣🤣🤣

I assume your shit smells of roses OP 🤣

quisensoucie · 02/02/2024 08:41

I hate people who poo in public toilets. Naturally, emergencies arise, but to seek out a public lavatory is just gross. Especially at work
Unless your lavatory and bath were in the hotel bedroom itself (another criminal idea - who puts a bath in a bedroom ffs??!!), you are BU!

Wendysfriend · 02/02/2024 08:42

19 threads !! .. yes I counted that I hid on shit and constipation in the last week, what is with everyone wanting to talk about shit 🤷🤷🤷

EnjoyingTheSilence · 02/02/2024 08:59

I agree @Tilllly i would never want an en-suite because if this. Who needs their bedroom stinking of shit, whether it’s mine or DH’s. The best house we had was one with a separate loo.

Tilllly · 01/02/2024 22:29

Oh 😢

I only fleetingly wondered if I was being a princess
Didn't quite expect the wave of harshness!

And to add to the saga, he then broke the loo and we've just had to move rooms!

Send wine please

How the fk did he break the toilet?

I'm in my 50s and never broken a toilet in my life

Exactly. As I said upthread I’m so glad we have a separate bathroom and toilet and as for an en suite! Who wants someone doing a big piss or poo next to your head. No ta

No, Chanel no 5 of course

@twnety
I have no idea
He said he just flushed it and it fell apart
No maintenance staff on so...

He's broken a couple of toilets over the years but usually at home

Yes

Allfur · 02/02/2024 10:38

That is really thoughtless of him to do it just before you're having a bath, not sure why it's princessey to not want to bathe in a fog of shit smell

afkonholidaynearleek · 02/02/2024 11:06

If I knew my DH was going to run a bath for a nice pampered soak, there is absolutely no way I'd go in before him and have a stinking poo. It's totally thoughtless.

I'd be pissed, OP!

P.s. MN users hate poo-related threads, hence all the harshness 😆

Tilllly · 02/02/2024 11:42

Ahhh @afkonholidaynearleek
I'd not known that tho someone said they'd counted the poo threads!!

Um why? If it's no big deal for him to do that, why is it a big deal to post about it?

Albeit (a bit) light hearted

OP posts:
Gemz1010 · 02/02/2024 15:30

I totally agree, I hate people using public toilets for it or at work, always when I'm desperate for a wee at work someone's stunk it out but OP has I right to be fed up, not considerate.
