Without being nagged

I’ve wondered if he could be on the spectrum
doesnt remember to pick up his clothes after a bath either
or remove hairs from the sink after shaving moustache

I myself have Aspergers but it’s been 9 years off and on reminding

Yeah, he's just a slob.

Using bleach is awful for the environment though. I'm team toilet brush!

And terrible for your lungs

We don't even have a toilet brush! (Not because I have a particular problem with them, they are rather handy but also complete cesspits!) just squirt some bleach down there.

Also, not picking up clothes, or washing hairs away from the sink? This is completely normal male behaviour! I assume you don't also have sons or you'd be complaining about the wee all over the toilet seat and floor too. I wish you all the luck in the world in getting him to change!

This does not have to be ‘completely normal male behaviour’. A male guest got piss on the floor of our bathroom once and my DH was apoplectic. I hope you tell your sons to clean up after themselves? Or they’ll never learn and continue with the same disgusting behaviour with their future partners.
