Tw to ask if this counts as suicidal thoughts

Note I’m not in any danger or with intent. Is it suicidal thoughts if you get the urge to jump off something or jump into a river etc or does everyone think like that?

It does sound like intrusive thoughts.

No, those are intrusive thoughts. Still in the family of mental health disorders, but a different one.

I'm diagnosed with OCD and I get intrusive thoughts like this all the time. What if I just got off this bus now? What if I walked in front of that lorry? What if I suddenly started singing in the Library? I have never been remotely suicidal, just a bit odd!!

Is it only when you are actually near such things (like being high up, or near a river)?
Sounds like 'call of the void'. It is pretty common and nothing to worry about. It does not mean you are suicidal or even have something like OCD.
