To be bored?

Home alone. Have cooked dinner, eaten dinner and washed up. Watched a film. Ironed. Did some of my jigsaw puzzle. Scrolled all social media. So bored. What can I do in the 3 hours before bed?! Don't have a bath.

There are 50 things you could do. With the internet you have the world in your hands.

My mother always said that “only boring people get bored” and I agree with her.

Springflowers88 · 21/01/2024 19:45

I'm looking for ideas...can you tell me one of the 50 things? I really don't care if people think I'm boring 🤣

Start decluttering a room in your house? Or start a deep clean.

Moganthemog · 21/01/2024 19:47

Read a book

Flamesatmytoes · 21/01/2024 19:47

Order a vibrator online and anticipate its arrival.

Merryoldgoat · 21/01/2024 19:52

If I have unexpected time I have the following portable hobbies/interest

sewing
crochet
reading
crafting
furniture upcycling
women of Tudor England

so I’d pick up one of those or a book or listen to a podcast.

@Flamesatmytoes 😂😂😂, I literally clean at night time when my daughters gone to bed deep cleans etc. read a book? Get adult colouring books.. find something to watch? When I wasn’t a mum I’d go out for a little car journey go get a treat and just chill out. Self care?

Self care is exactly what I was referring to 😂😁😁

@Flamesatmytoes 😂😂😂😂 love that, true though entertain yourself in many many ways.

Springflowers88 · 21/01/2024 20:15

@Springflowers88

I absolutely love that but have had to wean myself off it. I could lose hours to that game once you have a few games on the go!

FedUpMumof10YO · 21/01/2024 20:21

Oh to have the luxury of being bored.

DawnBreaks · 21/01/2024 20:22

Stalk all your ex's on Facebook. 😁

DidntReallyMeanIt · 21/01/2024 20:26

Grab a pen and some paper and see if you can write your full name using your toes.

RatatouillePie · 21/01/2024 20:32

I agree that only boring people get bored.

Here's some suggestions that I would do should i ever get free time:

  1. YouTube karaoke
  2. Read a book
  3. Figure out how to crochet something other than a straight line.
  4. Duolingo - learn a random language
  5. Learn how to do the splits
  6. Bake a cake.
  7. Solve today's Wordle
  8. Clean the oven.
  9. Plan your meals for the week.
10. Call an elderly relative who would appreciate a chat.
