Quitting Vaping

BringMeSunshine48 · 21/01/2024 14:21

I used to smoke years ago.

A year ago, I bought (stupidly) one of those disposable vapes - now I'm hooked.

I have one in the house. I'm finishing that today then quitting.

How did you quit vaping? Cold turkey? Gradually? And did you find it as difficult as cigs?

I'm embarrassed I'm addicted to them 😬

@BringMeSunshine48 did you manage it? I’m in the same situation. Gave up smoking late 30s, nearly 20 years ago. Had a few vapes for fun and now I can’t have fun without them.
bloody things. I’m an idiot.
hope you’re managing.

Cold turkey is the only way. Good luck!

@BringMeSunshine48 vaping is fairly easy to give up than smoking. You just need to reduce the nicotine juice gradually every week for example if your vaping 10mg juice than drop down to 6mg for a week than 3mg than 0mg that way u won't feel the cravings once you stopped. You can also buy the 0mg nicotine disposable ones online so you get used to having no nicotine than u can stop altogether. Hope this helps and good luck to quitting xxx

I bought a re chargeable one. Cut down the nicotine from 20-10-6-3-0 and then just got bored of it and stopped completely

Disposable vapes are REALLY high on the nicotine. I've never used disposables.

If you'll struggle to go cold turkey then I'd buy a proper vape and get used to that with the same strength liquid (I think 20mg?). Then you can buy lower and lower nicotine vape liquids, eventually all the way down to 0. Then once you've been on 0 for a while you still habe to kick the habit but it will be far easier without the physical addiction too.
