Round my way the uncertainty was always:
"Add-id-as"
or
"Add-ee-das"
So YABU. 🤣
Never heard anyone say "ay" for "i" that's not the right phoneme at all!

I don't think it pronounce it either of them ways

I listened to the pronunciation on Google and that's the way I usually say it

I was always one of the ones who said Add-id-as BTW.

Add-ay-das sounds like someone doing an impression of a BBC radio four announcer circa 1975 when they used to say haise instead of house.

Add-ee-dass as the founder of the company was Adolf Dassler, "Adi" is a contraction of Adolf.
His brother Rudolf founded Puma.

It's Ad-ee-das as the name is made of it's owner, Adolf 'Adi' Dassler. Adi-Das.

If you have time, the story of Adidas and Adi's brother, Rudolf's company Puma, originally Ruda, is pretty funny and would make a great movie.
