does The Birth Trauma Enquiry really want responses? They have hardly advertised how to participate and submit your experience….and then when you eventually find the website they want you to upload a Microsoft Word document 🤨 It’s also only open for a few weeks till 9th Feb.

AIBU or is this odd?

link is here btw if anyone wants to submit:

I’d not even heard of this, thanks for bringing to people’s attention.

Thank you for sharing. I will definitely be sending my experience of a consultant who came in at the very end of my difficult labour.
Yes he helped deliver my beautiful girl but he then proceeded to immediately cut the cord despite being told I wanted delayed clamping. The midwives were all very shocked and asked him why and he uttered the words "it's my birth I do it my way" AngryAngryAngry

I definitely don’t think society in general is aware of how traumatic giving birth is. It’s kinda accepted because it’s been happening since humans began. But I have never felt so close to death as I did when I gave birth. I still get panicky if I start thinking about it now 10 years later.

If men gave birth half the shit wouldn't happen
