It's always the same ridiculous story with the same picture of the mum ,"raging". AIBU to think local newspapers must just contact anyone with an angry FB post to try to get some sort of story? Bet this lad loves it that his mum is discussing his pooing in a newspaper.

Fuming mum pulls son out of school over tuna sandwich row

She has now pulled Jayden out of Thanet Primary School, east Hull, and says he will not return until he receives an apology for "making him upset and hungry".

I think there's a massive back story if I've read the report right?
It mentions the son only being at the school for 8 months after being moved from another school...

GrimDamnFanjo · 19/01/2024 19:04

Sorry mum "removed him" from his previous school.

Headbandhair · 19/01/2024 19:07

I definitely couldn’t be a teacher. I’m genuinely surprised there are actually any left.

TheLogicalSong · 19/01/2024 19:07

Only being offered one option for lunch is a bit crap - reminds me of my school days in the 80s. You'd have thought things would have moved on in 40 years. I agree taking the boy out of the school and involving the press is a huge overreaction to what sounds like an isolated incident.

imnotalpharius · 19/01/2024 19:08

Why is The Record reporting on a story from 2019? There's even a follow up where the mum admits he was offered a hot meal but he didn't want the option offered!

What the hell has she got stuck to her face?? How can she not see what a complete prat she looks like with those ridiculous things stuck to her face?

Those are her fucking eyebrows and you know it

Nobody is allowed to criticise anything any more , we're only allowed to be complimentary . Free speech has left the building .

The story is about a tuna sandwich and a child having a poo. Not eyebrows.

Ok at great expense I have searched for the answer - No!

However, after a day off, Miss Jarvis sent her son back to school after she was warned she would get a fine for unauthorised absence - but claims the school have now "backed down" and assured her it will not happen again.

Edited

Of course they have.

If in doubt about attracting a fine for unauthorised absence, get a story in the media. Does the job every time.

RubberyChicken · 19/01/2024 19:15

I first thought the story was about entering a Roger Moore impersonation competition, she'd have won
