We have this new employee who DH knew before she started to work here. Some of the other staff know her too, but she's not particularly popular. She's never done anything to me, but I don't trust her. I know it's unreasonable, but is it intuition, do you think?

I am the least jealous wife I know. DH is surrounded by females, they all get along and I couldn't care less. FGS I happily sat at home whilst he went for a drink with a gorgeous girl who had, that very day, been in the paper in her underwear!

No, this one is quite different, She just has a 'way'. I also know that DH had to check with a couple of other members of staff before he took her on because she had a bit of 'history' with a couple of the other girls. She is v hard-faced, and I just don't trust her. Simple.

SBF, DH treats her the same as everyone else. I don't distrust him at all.

i always trust my first feelings on meeting people -another trick is to let you dc meet her my lo is also never wrong on people who are not so nice -he will just not acknowledge them if they try talk to him wheedle out the rubbish i say lol

Usually I am a bit of a pushover and think the best of everyone, but this one is just niggling me. Of course, I would never be mean or show dislike, but I will be keeping an eye on her, I think.

I'd always go with my instinct. You don't have to do anything though. Just be super super nice to her and keep an eye on her.

It can work both ways. I have an instant reaction to some people where I just know something's not right - I try not to show it, but I do usually find it was a true instinct in the end.

However I have also taken a dislike to people on first meeting them, and ended up close friends. Wen that happens I think it may be a case of they and I both have quite strong personalities and end up actually getting on, but edge around each other to begin with.

Here it sounds as if you're able to sniff out that she has an agenda. I think you need to be super-nice to her - that always weeds out the ill-intentioned!

We have just all changed seats at work, and the girl I am next too really irritates me! She's never said anything to upset me, but she just really irritates me and makes me cross. I just don't like her and have no interest in talking to her. It's not that I don't not trust her, and I have no other reason but that I find her hard work! Must be chemistry do you think?
