I have been ill. ds has been ill. I thought we were going to cancel on health grounds yesterday, but we are recovered pretty much ,and tbh I think we need to go on holiday.
and now dh wants to cancel it as things have gone pear shaped at work.
can this get fucking worse?!?!?!?!?
are we just not meant to go away??????

am i justified in being REALLY pissed off at dh for suggesting this after ALL we have been through to sort out this f-ing holiday?!?!?!

Not nice. Why don't you go without him? Won't you lose money if you cancel?
And why do men seem to think that their place of employment will explode and destroy the universe if they take a day off? Does make me wonder how the hell their employers managed to get the business off the ground and function before they joined the firm. Egomaniacs! not nearly as important as they think they are!

has he got a crackberry? if he has he can manage from hols. you have got to go.

ALMummy · 19/03/2008 19:04

I just read your other thread on relationships. I can assure you of this if I were you then I would be going ALONE. It really is not as hard as you think. I have done it and it was a lot of fun. One suitcase, one buggy and your carry on bag, no problems.

ALMummy · 19/03/2008 19:04

Oh and yourself and DS obviously .

HereComeTheGirls · 19/03/2008 19:27

I think you are very justified in being annoyed. My life is being made pretty miserable by my DHs work at the moment, he has to do endless late nights, and we are going on holiday tomorrow, only to visit his parents though, and he is going to have to work

runragged76 · 19/03/2008 20:53

I thought I was the only one whose DH put work first! Glad (maybe not the right word) to hear there are others in the same boat! Just put your foot down and tell your DH that family is more important than work. Then go on holiday and have a great time .

thanks for your replies, and making me feel fully justified in ranting at dh like a mad fishwife.
ds has been ill again, so I'm not going alone (we would have gone anyway had dh not been working, but a sick ds and a holiday alone is too much for me at the mo).
I wouldnt mind if he brough work with him (well i would, but not as much), but he has to be there apparently.
so I am going to stay with friends for a good week or so instead.
