Mine is Glen Tilbrook (Squeeze), Robert Johnson (blues musician) and Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby. Not his normal voice.

Roger Allam. In either his own posh tones or any others.

BeatsAntique · 01/09/2024 00:12

Mine seem to fall into two camps. Cowboys and posh boys!

Matthew McConaughey, Jim Parrack, Lucas Black (yes ma’am, love me some drawl)

Matthew Goode, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dominic Cooper in An Education.

Annie Haslam of Renaissance. Could listen to Northern Lights endlessly. Apparently she had a vocal range of five octaves!

Historical epic Nicholas and Alexandra is on BBC2.

Both Michael Jayston and barking mad Tom Baker as Tsar Nicky and Rasputin respectively* if you want yer lush voices.

  • Or The Valeyard and 4th Doctor if you're that way inclined
Cherrysoup · 01/09/2024 13:41

Akwafina actress, dunno what it is, I just love listening to her speak.

Omid Djalili, the comedian, when he does his OTT accent, I love hearing that.

Singer-Layne Staley, original singer of Alice in Chains. I can listen to him with zero accompaniment on a constant. Rooster is one of my favourite songs ever. Gives me shivers. Such a bloody waste.

TheOwlAndThePussycatCannotSwim · 01/09/2024 19:14

And Zadie Smith, very languorous and compelling. And Ciaran Hinds. Oh yes!

Rory Stewart

Came here to profess my Rory Stewart lust! I have filthy, disgusting thoughts listening to TRIP 😈

Bridgertonned · 01/09/2024 19:52

Echo Mars, lead singer of the band Thus Love. Somehow a very '80s' big voice despite them being really young!
