My period was supposed to start in the 9th of January and today it’s the 12th when I went to the bathroom there was bloody clot. I haven’t taken a pregnancy test and I have been worried

Hi op, I would take a pregnancy test ASAP. Is your period usually on time? Was there any other flow of blood or just a clot?

Anonymous0379 · 12/01/2024 18:43

Well it’s now a flow. But my period usually starts a day or 2 late and of which most of my periods I do have tiny clots most of the time so I don’t know . Should I take the pregnancy test after I finish bleeding or should I monitor my flow first ?

This sounds like your period starting, I don't think you need to be concerned. A fluctuation of a few days isn't anything to worry about.

How old are you?

TeaKitten · 12/01/2024 18:47

It just sounds like your period, mine isn’t often late but when it is it can be a bit heavier, unless you have worryingly heavy bleeding or severe pain I can’t see a need to do a pregnancy test

If your period usually starts a day or two late - that means that your cycle is longer than you're counting.

Did you have unprotected sex in the last month?

Well you’ve got your period now so there’s nothing to worry about. Enjoy some chocolate and relax!
