For ages I thought there was a poster called Tia. I always used to think it was a bit weird that they would sign their name....not very anonymous. Now I realise it means thanks in advance.

When I was a child (around 8/9 years) I thought that if you lived by the sea you didn't have to go to school. I was utterly convinced of this and endlessly tried to persuade my parents to move to the coast.

HA! My grandad made me one with metal runners too. It was so fast and quite scary on a decent hill.

I kept it until i had my kids and we once almost crashed off a hill into the road and had to all throw ourselves off in a dramatic fashion whilst holding onto the bloody rope so it didn't smack into a car. My son called it the rocket sledge after that.

I'm learning all sorts of things by reading this thread. 😳

I used to think Persephone was pronounced Percy Phone - like Parlophone, the record label.

Actually I think Parlophone (pronounced ParLOPHonee of course) should take off as a girl's name, it sounds nice!

Until I was in my teens I thought how stupid it was to put ‘dilute to taste’ on orange squash bottles. Any idiot would know that you could taste it without diluting it!
