Missing choccie biscuits

A couple of days ago I snuck in some chocolate biscuits and now they are no longer there.

They have been snaffled!

DP claims that the mice have stolen them but we have three cats. Do I
a) frisk him for crumbs, or
b) insist on a new kitten as the others are obviously slacking?

Seems a tad harsh. I was thinking more along the lines of raiding his secret sweetie stash in the glove compartment.

Re ducks: has potential. I've been hinting gently about getting chickens but apparently getting a coop etc is too subtle. Possibly he may not notice when the ladies arrive ...
