I am heavier than I have ever been despite leading an active life. However I was not eating as well as I could so last week in January mode I started to stick to 1200 calories a day and when I exercise ( about 4 to 5 times a week excluding dog walks) I was adding these calories burnt to my total amount so maybe 1400 on an exercise day. However I have gained a 1lb this week when I felt sure I would lose weight. For reference I am 5ft 4 and 11stone 3lb as of this morning so definitely have weight to loose. Please help me understand what I am doing wrong.
