Vaccine injected properly!?

I'm sure IABU...but for my anxiety's sake it would be great if someone could put me at ease!

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and had my whooping cough vaccine today. After she injected it and went to put my plaster on, she said, "oop, a little bit wants to get away" and I looked down and saw a small amount of some clear liquid coming out of the injection site. I said to her, "has it gone in properly?", and she said "oh yes"...but now I'm worried I haven't had enough of the vaccine!

Is this just something that happens sometimes? Great if anyone here has given injections before and can reassure me. It's my first pregnancy and I've been told I'm very high risk for various reasons so I'm worrying about everything and anything.

Thanks! 😵‍💫

You've had enough vaccine. You are okay. This is quite common, not to worry. Banish it from your thoughts and move on about your day.

You'll still make and immune response. It's common for a bit of liquid to be visible especially if the needle didn't go so deep and/or if you're small.

Don't think on it. The HCP reassured you. Take their word for it.
