Boob uplift/impants

This is not intended to get at anyone who has had any surgery whatsoever on their breasts, including for medical reasons

The reason I am posting is following a consultation re. my own breasts - they are smallish (I wear a DD, but consultant was very surprised as he'd guessed at B cup). I was hoping for just implants as my boobs are not that saggy.

But he said he'd have to do an uplift as well. He drew a pic and as far as I could tell, he cuts off the nipples, cuts out a load of the existing breast tissues, moves the nipples up and closes the cuts up on top of some higher up implants.

The whole thing looked Frankensteinian to me, this was a body he was blithely drawing wobbly neon lines on to show approximate locations of cuts and stitch. Is this really what people have dohne? Can it ever look Ok with scarring etc?

Is it utterly barbaric I'm considering doing this to myself???

What did you think he was going to do?

Graasspp · 06/01/2024 11:03

Just implants. Not cut my nips off.

I think you should go to other doctors for consultation and see if they all recommend the same approach. If so then I suppose it would be worth listening to their expert opinions.
however I don’t like the sound of this first guy. Why on earth was he guessing your bra size? That seems inappropriate to me and possibly trying to take advantage of your perceived flaws to make you feel that you definitely do need this surgery if your breasts look like “only” a B

Under the muscle, crease insertion, no uplift is what I would be strongly asking for.

I've had my boobs done and so have many friends and I got mine done crease insertion and a friend got admit insertion and then another friend got it done where they cut the areolas and it looks awful.
I would really strongly, strongly advise to go for armpit or crease.

If your books aren't saggy then he sounds dodgy and like he is trying to upsell you.
Definitely get a second opinion!

Lastly, my implants are the best thing I've ever done and they changed my confidence so much.

I'll find a second opinion although did research him well.

Maybe they are saggy... idk I'm 47 and breastfed x2....
