DH is due to go out. Also DS. DD back to Uni today.
This should mean a night in with just me...
I will control the remote...
At least DS is having his shower and will be off soon.
DH is watching crap on the TV still sat on the sofa!
Please just go out so I can watch my crap on the TV

My dh rarely goes out. He did a few weeks ago. I had a lovely night!!

Eugh. I’m never alone! I usually take myself to the bedroom and watch stuff on my iPad, I can forget about being alone with the tv.

I used to love evenings alone like this. My heart would drop a little at the key in the door.

Get a TV in the bedroom- wish I’d done it years ago! Also stops me snacking as I’m not near the kitchen. Easier to lose weight!

My DH is retired and doesn't like to go anywhere without me. I feel your pain!
My idea of bliss is not to have the telly on at all.... He likes to have some noise on at all times. I read - he doesnt.
It all came to a head a couple of days ago when we were playing a (rare) game of scrabble. He wanted the television on a music channel - I said only if it's music I like (he likes 80s music - I can't stand it) he got cross... I got cross and told him that I knew he liked to have noise on all the time but I didn't and I was just as entitled to have quiet as he was to have noise. We didn't have noise (on that occasion).
Maybe you should just kidnap (or strategically lose) the remote/batteries so that the TV can only be switched on by you? Then you may get to watch your deal programmes 😁
