To expect my parcel today?

Paid for next day delivery, and order placed 1 hour before the cut off time.

Parcel sent by retailer at 1am this morning.

Evri tracking is sitting at "we're expecting your parcel".

AIBU to still hope my parcel will arrive today? It's clothes to take on a weekend trip away tomorrow. Yes, before anyone lynch mobs me for being disorganised, I ordered last minute but honestly feel like I barely get the chance to breathe most days and this trip will be our first adult only time in well over 2 years so the organisation and juggling to prepare this week (along with Christmas, work, general mom life) has been immense.

Is there still hope it will arrive?

Yes hope. I got an evri almost the next day before Xmas and I hadn't paid for 24 hour.
Although I am currently awaiting an evri. Its a reduced price Xmas jumper for my son next year.....so no major rush!!

Seems normal. Usually with me by teatime.

It's only 11am, of course there's still plenty of time. And besides, you presumably have other clothes you can take if it doesn't. Nothing to stress about at all.

Yes definitely hope! Do you know what time your Evri delivery person normally does their rounds? I find that the tracking changes to a time slot when they collect the package from the depot so usually 1-3 hours notice. As opposed to other companies where you hear a time slot first thing in the morning.

Thanks everyone! I think I've lost hope as it doesn't say they've received it at the depot yet and I'm assuming the delivery driver has already been to the depot to collect the rounds for the day

I find that the updates are sometimes behind the parcel. So my parcel is delivered and about three hours later I get the "we have your parcel" email!

Depends on the area. Around our end your parcel is with evri means they may or may not deliver your parcel, knock on your door or throw it in someone else’s garden <bitter experience>

I agree it is unlikely. It goes to Sorting Hub, then Delivery Depot, then assigned to driver in the morning and Out for Delivery. I've never seen all of these happen on the same day that they are still Expecting it. I think the retailer still has it. (I use the app, so it is easy to follow the various stages.)

Sorry but I think it's far too unlikely to receive it today.

I suppose the fact that half the country is flooded atm might have something to do with it

Expecting your parcel means Evri have received a pre advice from the supplier ie it has been packed. The next stage should be the parcel being physically loaded scanned into the receiving Evri DC for onward trunking to a local depot where it will then be passed to the courier for delivery. Next day delivery needs to be received into the depot pre midnight for onward trunking. The fact the expecting you delivery status was received post midnight indicates it missed the collection vehicle and therefore will not arrive today. Tracking messages may of course be delayed but this is generally more network wide issue with Evri.

@pottypotamus nope, believe it or not it still hasn't arrived 3/4 days later 😅 the tracking hasn't updated so I think it may well be lost
