Hi,

So I noticed a raised/bony lumpy feeling on the left side of my daughter's head( she's 5 weeks). It's kind of near the bony structure at the bottom of her head, however it feels more raised on the left hand side. Sorry my description of it is probably rubbish.

I can't help but worry myself crazy as to what it could be.

I've tried to take a picture for reference but not sure if it's of any use?

FYI... I'm currently staying away from home at my parents' house down south and will not be able to get the health visitor to take a look until I go back home.

Do I take her to hospital? Worrying sick

My daughter had this too (she's now 2). I can't remember what it was but totally normal. Mention it to the GP at her 6 week check for reassurance !this is what I did) but honestly don't worry, it's completely normal and will just go in time

Thank you for the reassurance x @Chanadala

@GlitterBall91 did you ever manage to find out what it was? x

My DD has this, apparently it’s common and nothing to be concerned about.

In would get it checked out to be safe but try not to worry!

I've just noticed this on my 6 week old after reading this, I guess it's quite normal.

Thank you. I've messaged the health visitor too just to be safe. I made the mistake of googling possible causes and started falling into a rabbit hole 🙈.
