Nursery Funding

My DD is eligible for 30 hours funding from this month as she turned 3 in November. She previously attended nursery 1 day per week which we paid for. I received her 30 hours funding code in November and sent it to the nursery and booked 2 full days per week spread over 52 weeks as our nursery allows that.

I checked with the nursery what day the funding started from and they said 1st January. I also asked if I would have a nursery bill this month and they said no. (This conversation was in November, screenshot will follow).

Today I dropped DD off at nursery, went to work then received a phone call telling me she is not funded until next week and that if I didn't collect her, I would have to pay the fees.

I do not want to be in the position of changing nursery as DD is so happy and settled there. They are wonderful with the children but appalling at communication.

AIBU to tell them I won't pay fees for this week?

They need to adjust their invoices to spread the costs out over 52 weeks, as they said they'd do.

Screen shots are clear. I wouldn’t be paying.
