Dirty underpants

My husband apparently had diarrhoea at work today, and he has just informed me of this and was laughing at how funny it was that he’d done a bit in his pants before getting to the loo.
I then realised that he is still sitting there on the sofa with the same underpants on which he’s worn all day at work, then throughout dinner and been watching the telly in for a couple of hours.
When I told him that’s disgusting and he should go and change them immediately and wash, he was very defensive, and said he’d wiped it with toilet paper so it is ok and now dried. He got quite angry with me and wasn’t remotely embarrassed or apologetic. he doesn’t even seem to realise that this is horrible.

AIBU- I am disgusted and upset that he is defending this

With his work trousers on top.

In that case it’s probably more foul to contemplate than actually unhygienic for others as presumably the work trousers prevented contact with the sofa. But I don’t know how he’d feel comfortable. And I’d still dispose of the underpants.

If true then he is plainly disgusting but I also question you for having such low standards as to marry a revolting oaf!

How the fuck was she supposed to know he would shit his pants before she married him? The OP doesn't say it is a regular thing. I know I didn't ask my husband before marrying him whether he was a pant shitter and what he would do if he shat himself at work.

MadamVastra · 02/01/2024 21:25

Smelly bum cracks manky panties and shitty boxers 🤔 ok then

thedefinitive · 02/01/2024 21:27

Ewwwww!! Crusty skid marks!

That's pretty nasty behaviour, autistic or not.

cerisepanther73 · 02/01/2024 21:27

@Calliopespa

No need to dispose of his shitty pants

Make sure he washes them himself

especially if he has to hand-wash them ,
Bonus star chart points 👉 for that,

premiur · 02/01/2024 21:36

This thread is a new low in autism bashing.

MistralIV · 02/01/2024 21:41

Thank you. In actual fact he’s one of the cleanest men I ever known and is tidy as well. This was very strange. But to be honest, I’ve never known him be in situation before, so I can’t say.

he is immature though and can make crude comments to me. Although he never do it in front of anyone else. I think it’s to do with knowledge of appropriate boundaries.

It really is.

MonsteraMama · 02/01/2024 23:32

I know several people with autism and none of them would be comfortable cutting about all day in shitty underpants.

Your husband is a grot OP, it's got absolutely fuck all to do with Autism.

JazbayGrapes · 02/01/2024 23:51

What is it on MN with literally shitty men?

This post is as metaphorically shitty as OP's DH is literally. Autism does not equal shitty pants or gross humour. Ffs Sad

Chichimcgee · 02/01/2024 20:43

I HATE the term ‘borderline autistic’ no. Either you’re autistic or not and it’s the most awful or gross or weird situations where someone says ‘well he might be autistic is borderline autistic is likely autistic’ as though autism means you’re gross/immature/weird/awful

You do realize it is a spectrum?

Chichimcgee · 03/01/2024 03:45

Considering me, my 2 children and my brother all have actual diagnosis’ I do have a tiny inkling about it.

FiveShelties · 03/01/2024 03:54

Is this the 3rd or 4th thread about dirty undies today.

I cannot imagine my DH thinking this was close to funny and I definitely cannot imagine posting about it if he did.

It's grim, just bloody grim🤢

premiur · 03/01/2024 07:56

@Honeychickpea

You do realize it is a spectrum?

Do you know what that means though? Your reply to someone saying you are either autistic or not indicates you think a spectrum goes from side to side on how autistic a person is.

AuntySueDoesntGiveAShit · 03/01/2024 08:07

Honeychickpea · 03/01/2024 03:39

You do realize it is a spectrum?

Tell me you know nothing about autism without telling me you know nothing about autism.
