Dentists in Paris - can anyone help.

Posting here for traffic.

On my first trip abroad in Paris with DC who is 9 months old. We don't get back to London until Friday.

I'm in excruciating pain. I think I have a gum boil. I had an emergency dentist appointment on Friday and they gave me a.5 day course of antibiotics to manage things until next week ie. When I have an appointment with my regular dentist. The pain has only got worse and so I don't know how much the antibiotics have helped.

We only got here yesterday but I am considering going to get the entire thing resolved here in Paris as I don't think I can handle the pain until Monday.

I had a Google on the dental care system in Paris and it seems like tourists can just book private appointments and pay for them. Bit scared it's going to cost a small fortune but I am getting really desperate considering how bad the pain is started to get. Can anyone shed any light on their firsthand experience with the French dental care system. Is it much like it is in the UK? Any advice is hugely appreciated.

TIA x

I live in France ( not there atm) had people over last week to mind my dogs and one needed an emergency appointment. Got one that evening,
use doctorlib - you will have to create an account. Then click on dentists and filter to today. You should find appointments if you can be flexible as to where.
my visitor had a tooth removed ( at her request) and it cost 90 Euros. They can give you an indication of how much when you have the check up.

My dental experience has been amazing, very very good and have same dentist for 15 years. Experience with visitors was also excellent, and he spoke English. Don’t find it too expensive but usually have a check up and clean and is usually around 80 euros. Think a check up is around 40.

I needed an impacted wisdom tooth removed in Paris and had it done privately by a doctor named Helene Arnale. She was fab, it took about 20 mins and was painless. It cost me around 300 euros though.

Thank you so much @Humphriescushion
I found an appointment for midday and was able to get some treatment and medication to relieve the situation until Monday. I cannot thank you enough. ❤️

So glad nothing worse than dental pain generally and would ruin holiday.
