Poll: should DH share his Toblerone?

BlowDryRat · 01/01/2024 20:15

DH and I are on the sofa. He's munching his way through a Toblerone he got for Christmas (360g version). I asked for some and he said it's his!

My arguments for him sharing:

  • I shared my Christmas chocolates.
  • He ate my last birthday Ferrero Rocher.
  • According to our wedding vows, what's his is mine.
  • I want some!

Poll options:

  • YABU: let the man hoard his chocolate like a Quality Street dragon.
  • YANBU: he should share.

You have some convincing arguments. But it’s Toblerone, so if I were DH you’d be out of luck!

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 01/01/2024 20:17

Of course he should share .

His chocolate = shared chocolate

Your chocolate = your chocolate

Nothingbuttheglory · 01/01/2024 20:17

Yabu, current Toblerone is unpleasant.

Christmastreestillinonepiece · 01/01/2024 20:17

I told dh I won't be sharing my Christmas sweets. Dh has form for making a big deal about buying me some treats then eating half... I have stashed 2 huge bars and a box of chocolates..

before I vote I would like to know if he asked you to share your chocolates, or if you just offered them?

Hmm. I think I should do a quality check.

I'm not saying he should give you half, but he should definitely pass you a few giant triangles.

Untrue. I ate some yesterday and it was good.

I offered them round like a grudgingly civilised person, rather than stuffing myself with chocolate while my family looked forlornly on.

meh. That's on you. Don't be daft, you get chocolates - they'Re yours. Practice it.

(having said that: if i get chocolate i usually give DH a bit, not half though, because I'm not a dick. You know what to do next time you have chocolate)

BlowDryRat · 01/01/2024 20:32

Sainsbury's is coming in the morning. I'm tempted to order myself a box of Lindor and eat the lot.

Actually, I've just remembered that I have a bag of flying saucers from our last delivery. Win! Although I'm not sure if I want to get up and walk the 20 steps to the kitchen.
