I am an office worker who touch types so I did suspect RSI but this all seems odd? I have wrist supports, take breaks etc.
I have no idea what to even ask a GP if I did go see one! I know MN is not able to give medical advice but does any of this sound familiar to anyone?
It started with my left hand, a swollen inflamed tendon under my pinky finger. I had this strapped up to the other finger for a few weeks. It is less swollen and painful now but now the other right hand pinky finger hurts in the same place. They hurt to move and my palm under the finger is swollen.
Following this, a blood vessel randomly burst in my right wrist causing a big hematoma under the skin from wrist to thumb. It was very painful. I didn’t injure it. I’ve had no memorable injuries to my hands of late.
Maybe unrelated but I had very bad chillblaines on my toes this year (which burst under the skin) and my circulation in my feet is pretty bad.
A nurse friend did look at my hematoma and said it wasn’t a DVT and also it’s not the right fingers for carpel tunnel. A podiatrist diagnosed my chillblains as I thought they were deep corns.
My hands are my job so I very much need them so wtf is going on, all a coincidence?
