My 3yo son often goes up to 6 or 7 hours without asking to go for a wee. When prompted he usually says he doesn’t need one, but will have a wee if we take him to the loo (but usually we wait for him to tell us he needs to go).
Is this normal or should I be looking for a cause? I don’t think he is dehydrated because he drinks plenty and his wee isn’t particularly dark or concentrated but I wonder if I should be encouraging him to go more? He’s totally well and healthy in general, no signs of a UTI or anything.
