Happy to accept IABU
I get a lot of deliveries to my house as part of my job and I have one delivery driver who is a complete nuisance.

If I forget to lock my front door (maybe once or twice every couple of weeks) he will try the handles before even knocking and will literally open the door (no porch so he’s straight into my home) and will drop the parcel in.
I used to keep my door unlocked but this was happening all the time so started locking it.

I have had a chat with him before explaining I have a dog who startles when he just opens the door and barks. I’m worried about the dog getting out as we live near a main road.

I usually try to remember to lock the door and manage this 90% of the time (I’m so forgetful it’s untrue and do forget on occasions) there have been times I’ve been in the shower and I’ve heard him open the door drop the parcel and leave.
My bathroom is facing the door as it opens so it’s just good luck that I haven’t been walking out when he opens the door.

Again fully aware this is my fault for not keeping the door locked but have asked he doesn’t do this.
Today I was in an appointment online and remembered to lock the door as didn’t want him coming in part way through and setting the dog off.

He knocked on the door, I didn’t answer he then proceeded to knock for around 5 minutes on the front door, he went to my front room window started banging on there and then went to my kitchen window and started banging on that (I was upstairs)

When I finished my appointment and came down there was a note pushed through my door saying ‘put in garage for safety’ I was confused as the garage was locked.
Went to garage and the delivery man has forced my locked garage open God knows how and now I can’t get it to lock again.

Im actually really annoyed at how much he was banging and at every window, the fact I now have a broken garage lock and the way he constantly tries my handle without knocking.

WIBU to complain? To his delivery company? I don’t want to get him in trouble or fired because I get how overworked and underpaid delivery drivers are, which is what puts me off but as someone who gets work parcels every few days this man is an absolute pain.

I do leave notes on the door if I have meetings asking him to not knock and leave the parcel on the door step and that I take responsibility and he will still knock and knock if my car is in the drive until I answer same if I leave a note saying been on a night shift please don’t knock.

Please can anyone suggest how to get through to him that he’s being a nuisance without getting him in trouble or do I complain which I’d rather not do.
