I need to return some Christmas gifts to M&S, I know I'm able to do this without a receipt as the store can locate the purchase from the QR code on the items. That's all fine.

What I need to know is if the return will send any notification of the return to the Sparks card owner without the card being scanned with the return. Will the Sparks card also be linked to the items QR code IYSWIM?

I have a sparks card and I can't recall being notified if I/someone else returned something. It may be in the account part of the app, but I think you would have to look for it.

I didn't pick up my order, so it was automatically returned. I got an email advising me that a refund was being processed. So my Sparks card wasn't scanned in that event.
