Is it dirty?

Hi, i overreact many times for what is dirty or not, so i wanted to ask what you think. Does a shoe get dirty when by accident you touch a dog poop with the side of your shoe or point of your shoe (without stepping on it just touch). Are you disgusted by it then?

I mean on your carpets?

All shoes are dirty and should be taken off at the door. But yes, I would be disgusted by dog poo especially.

Walking daily on a dirty pooey pavement, i try not to step on them but when i am in hurry I can't really tell if i touched them with the shoe, so don't really know if i should clean them, if i should consider them dirty.

Shoes are dirty by merit of walking on dirty outside floors. Touching poo in them is neither here nor there really, just wash them.

Yes, I'd say that's an overreaction. You'd know if you'd really come into contact with dog poo. Assuming you have because there may have been some there is obsessing.

depends if it leaves a deposit on the shoe , if it’s dry and firm and just nudge it then I wouldn’t be too bothered tbh there will be dog shit residue on most pavements / floors of public transport etc so not worth being too disgusted

Ive thrown shoes in the bin that have dog poo in them....it turns my stomach. It's the filthiest thing ever.

Comedycook · 29/12/2023 14:13

*on them

Microbiologist here…I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the second you step out on the street the chances that your shoes have coliforms on them is pretty much a given. That’s why we shouldn’t wear outdoor shoes indoors.

Goinoutalone · 29/12/2023 14:46

there will be traces of animal fecal matter on the roads and pavements, there doesn’t need to be a visible dog poo
