This is not urgent and I’m thinking this is quite common and not serious and don’t want to unnecessarily bother a GP, but not really sure what to do.

I have tiny, pin prick sized red dots on my torso. They do not itch, or bother me in any way. I started getting them many years ago, just one, then two. I’ve just looked in the mirror and now have 14. They are just on my torso, under my breasts and above my stomach. Nowhere else on my body.

no other symptoms and don’t feel unwell in any way. I wondered if anyone else had this? Should I make an appointment wit GP?

many thanks

Are they cherry angiomas ? I have some very small ones.

Campbell de Morgan spots. Normal part of ageing. No need to bother GP

Quite possibly, I’ve just googled it and the images look very similar. Most of mine are the size of a pin head, although one or two are bigger with a circumference of 2-3mm I’d guess. I take it they are harmless are just part of aging. I’m now late 40’s

Thank you, that’s what I thought. Presumably if it was potentially serious I’d get other symptoms .

If they're petechiae you could need a blood test to check your platelets. After what I'm going through at the moment I'd say it's worth a trip to the doctor.

I haven't got a problem with my platelets but have had previously and the tiny red dots were a symptom of that. You don't always need other symptoms for there to be a problem with your blood (sorry, not trying to scare you!) It could be nothing, it could be something. I don't think there's any harm in asking.

I have these, Campbell de Morgans, and they've been growing very, verrrry slowly for around 30 years or more (I am old). I've had them confirmed as C de Ms many times as I occasionally have doubts, but they sound exactly like yours. Some are still pin pricks, one or two perhaps the size of a small freckle. Some on my stomach, a couple on my breast and some on my thighs.

I've got absolutely loads, have done for years, far more than 14. And I'm 38 years old. I've had plenty of blood tests, full blood counts for other reasons, during that time. Nothing abnormal. So I wouldn't worry unduly, but if it is concerning you then do ask your doctor, it's what they are there for, after all.
