Why would you think scabies?

Body wash type allergies I itch like crazy. If you have any piriton take one

idontlikealdi · 26/12/2023 22:35

Not at all. Scabies tracks with lines usually in joints not on an arm. Why do you think scabies?

Looks more like shingles to me. I am not a medic.

IwishIdidntlikesugar · 26/12/2023 22:39

Impetigo?

RockinAroundthejoint · 26/12/2023 22:51

Not scabies, no

Whoknowswhatanymore · 26/12/2023 22:55

Do you feel unwell? First thing I thought was chicken pox! But PP could be right with shingles. No medic though!

Scarletttulips · 26/12/2023 22:57

Why would you think scabies?

Because it’s rife!

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 26/12/2023 23:16

No it looks like allergic reaction. This is what's happened to my skin after contact with a known allergen - fluid-filled spots come up. It looks different as it's on my hand but if on softer arm skin, it would look similar to your pic.

I didn't know scabies was rife... ugh that's my worst nightmare.

Scabies usually starts in between your fingers and toes and makes red lines tracking up creases. This just looks like a rash

NotTerfNorCis · 26/12/2023 23:23

Scabies you will see first in the warmer parts of your body like armpits, groin and thighs, under the breasts. It will itch a lot and keep you awake at night.

SusanKennedyshouldLTB · 26/12/2023 23:26

No it doesnt look like scabies

stonedaisy · 26/12/2023 23:27

Looks like Erythema multiforme - an allergic reaction to an infection

LittleMissSunshiner · 26/12/2023 23:28

I wouldn't rule scabies out

bossybloss · 26/12/2023 23:29

It doesn’t look like scabies to me. I have had scabies. I caught it years ago when I was a teacher. The treatment for it is absolutely excruciating 😣

Crispsandcola · 26/03/2024 21:22

Possibly Molluscum contagiosum?

2Old2Tango · 26/03/2024 21:29

I wouldn't rule it out. My DD kept scratching her skin a little while ago and had little spots in various places. Her BF was suffering too. They went to a pharmacy who told them it was scabies. DD was horrified. They were told it's rife at the moment and it was actually difficult to get hold of the treatment cream required. No idea where it originated, but it can be easily transmitted, so nothing to be ashamed of.

Goldenthigh · 26/03/2024 21:35

I thought molloscum too, looks exactly like when we had it in the house. Took forever to get rid of
