I sent a jacket back only had it out of the packaging briefly and put it back and returned next day.
They have refused the return as they say its damaged but haven't even told me how and any proof they haven't even sent it back yet.
Live chat today wouldn't answer my questions as to what the damage is and as to whether they've sent it back so I can inspect it myself. Guy on live chat who was meant to be a manager said I returned as reason been too large not damaged to which I replied why would I it wasn't damaged and if it was it was hidden and I didn't see it and it must have come to me like that he dismissed me and said there's nothing he can do and then he closed the chat.

I have posted before about this but today's latest developments have left me wondering what steps to take next

I've never had a problem with ASOS. I shop a lot with them and return a lot of items. Usually on line chat is helpful. Could you try and message them on Twitter

festivepains · 26/12/2023 20:04

I'm not sure they can send it back once it's been returned

But I've paid for it

Can you still raise an issue with ASOS on resolver? I did a few years back and it was handled

Another recommendation for resolver

Lucky2shoes · 26/12/2023 20:08

If that jackets damaged then its happened on way back or it came to me like it maybe it was hidden in the lining I honestly don't know but they've given me no proof or details

I had an issue with asos with a pair of shoes - broke second wear. They refused me a refund and then cut me off on the online chat and refused to discuss further

I have never bought anything again from them

Z1hun · 26/12/2023 20:21

Show the chat to trading standard. Or tell asos you'll be taking it to trading standards if they don't sort out the issue.

I did he wasn't in the slightest bit interested said he can't help me and couldn't or wouldn't answer the question as where the damage is and whether they've sent the jacket back.

Screenshot the chat and post on Twitter, tagging them. That's really crappy 😞

penjil · 26/12/2023 22:13

It could've been damaged in the mail on the way back to ASOS, caught in packet sorting machines etc.
But then the wrapping would be damaged too, so it'd be obvious.

There's no way around this is there I can't prove anything

They reckon the jacket has been sent back but they can't tell me when it was sent and I've no tracking

OP posts:
Wowzel · 27/12/2023 18:56

I'm not convinced i believe them.

Lucky2shoes · 27/12/2023 21:59

They are saying the jacket will be back with me by the 2nd January I'm absolutely intrigued to see what's wrong with it

OP posts:
Lucky2shoes · 27/12/2023 22:02

I don't understand what's going on as on my account when I look at my return list it says refund sent 20th December next to the jacket concerned but they haven't answered my question as to why it says that.

OP posts:
Lucky2shoes · 27/12/2023 22:03

They've mixed up somewhere I'm sure
