So literally tonight is the only time in ages we've had the chance of an evening chilling out together. Toddler is actually asleep early, and teenage sons are chilling in their bedrooms.
Suggested to hubby we could watch something together (he's back at work tomorrow until NYE) to which he replied that he wants to watch the footy on his Kindle or phone.
I feel a bit peeved tbh.

@Crooklodge Don't think he could manage a shag... and we do have a 13 and 16 yo in the house so maybe not!!! 😆
Hope your hubby stays awake!

Oh, get over yourself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with watching a film on TV with someone. Do you also sneer at people who go to the cinema or the theatre together?

If the goal is to spend time together, yes. If the goal is to watch something then no.

Of course there’s nothing wrong with watching tv, but at the same time being annoyed that your partner doesn’t want to watch the same thing then seems odd to me.

‘tonight is the only time in ages we've had the chance of an evening chilling out together.

This made me think the goal was more about reconnecting vs being in the same space.

Mine are 15, 13 and 9yo dts. They're about burst from all the excitement. Maybe I'll just get another beer then...

@saltinesandcoffeecups We do chat quite a bit I would say, but sometimes it's nice just to be quiet in each other's company? Could be something to do with having a lively 3 yo?!! 😀

I hope you both have fun and relax whatever you do!
