To think refrigerated breastmilk doesn’t have to be hidden?

Staying with lovely in-laws… but a Christmas guest, extended family, remarked “well, I must say I’m a little put off my tea after seeing breastmilk in the fridge”.

Cue chuckles round the table saying “oh yes, I spotted that too, got quite the shock”

Because it’s Christmas everyone is diving into the fridge to grab things and make space etc etc

But AIBU to think my expressed milk doesn’t have to be hidden?

We used to offer guests red top, soya or breast in their tea. Jokingly - but all three were in the fridge.

I would definitely prefer the breast milk

Not surprised, there are a lot of people in the UK with very fucked up attitudes to breastfeeding.

When I was pregnant, my husband told me I was not allowed to breastfeed in public because it was akin to him wanking in public.

I kid you not!

Please tell us he's now an ex...!

If he thinks feeding a baby is like wanking is he a paedo??!

My mum disapproves of breastfeeding and she would deliberately leave MY fridge door open overnight if it contained breastmilk. Also gave the DC formula.

She wouldn't say breast either. She would say 'doing that' to me or in front of friends would say 'feeding the baby herself'. As opposed to getting the postman to do it.
