Supermarket annoyances

Well I know I’m being unreasonable, crabit and easily annoyed!! Gif up nice and early to go to tesco yesterday. 7.30. Surprised how busy it was. Chock and block in fact.
Greeted by a huge family, small town, I know they are all one unit.
Parents, three teenagers plus two tired crabit small children. The small kids running around getting in shoppers way. Felt sorry for the workers doing online shopping orders, the kids trying to push their trollies and put groceries the workers trollies. Parents doing nothing to stop this.
Wtf why couldn’t the older teenagers just sit in the car or let the younger kids stay home while the parents nipped out.
All parents fault. Totally unexplainable and selfish.

How to expect kids to learn how to behave in a supermarket if you don't let them in the supermarkets

frazzled22 · 24/12/2023 09:04

Maybe they've come from or are going somewhere else.
Maybe they're trying to teach them how to behave in a supermarket.
Maybe they can't be trusted at home alone (not to sneak a look at presents!)
Maybe they wanted to do the shop as a family.

Perhaps they are on the way somewhere so all needed to go, perhaps they have all gone in to choose presents, perhaps they just like spending time together?

I feel this is a hangover from covid times when it was meant to be one adult from the household going shopping at a time. You need to get over it. People are allowed to go shopping as a family if they want to. Yes their behaviour wasn't the best but it sounds like it would have been a busy stressful time to go shopping so the parents were probably just trying to get on with it.

I'm annoyed that my local Aldi doesn't have an actual live Robin tweeting and flying about the store like that one in Wales. 🕊️
