Help! Waitrose click and collect

Hi,
I’m sorry to post this here but having a panic.

back in November I placed a Waitrose order for this evening just in case we needed it to sweep up any extras. I held the order with a turkey, chicken and pigs in blankets.

I have received no communications since mid Nov and thought it was cancelled.

last night I thought I’d have a look on my account and there’s the order!

still no emails from Waitrose.

would it be normal to receive communications? Can I cancel?

It’s too late to cancel the order now, I only ever receive a reminder the day before it’s due and that’s to add or remove any items.

You won't be able to cancel it yourself, but if you phone them, they'll be able to do it for you. Probably.

(Certainly we can at the store I work at, but it's not Waitrose.)

What kind of communications were you expecting? Is this the first time you’ve done an online food order? I use Tesco and after the first email to confirm the delivery, all they send is a text the day before reminding you to make any changes by 11.45 that night.

I normally shop with Sainsbury’s who send emails and texts to remind you. I have received nothing since November - I don’t even know if the order is waiting for me! I’ll try and phone them. Thanks all (feeling a bit sick!)

If it's too late to cancel and you don't need the stuff then call the store and see if they can reallocate to another customer who may have missed out on those items.
