Help! Replacement broken bauble

Help! Apologies for shamelessly using AIBU for traffic.

Disaster struck our house this evening when DDs 'my first Christmas bauble' from Mamas and Papas (2007) got knocked off the tree and smashed. She's a sentimental 16 year old who is absolutely gutted about this.

Yes, there were tears. Yes, some people will think tears are over the top; but, like I say, she's a sentimental old thing who has always spoken about having these baubles on her own tree one day.

We're going to attempt a glue job, and a new one wouldn't really be the same, but I'd like to try to get hold of another one if possible in addition, in case our attempts are futile.

Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried ebay and general searches to no avail. It's a large red bauble with 'My first Christmas 2007' written on and a drawing of Father Christmas on it. It came in a largish square box. I appreciate its not the type of thing people sell, but if I can find another or there's a magic Christmas fairy out there who can help, it might just save Christmas!

Helloooo, another M&P smashed bauble story here - my daughters from 2009. It was a few years ago now but I’ve been hoping to find a new one ever since. Following in case anyone spots one while searching!

It actually did make me feel better, someone had to point it out to her she was being ridiculous.
@Ella31 I also had disaster in my life and in my family, as recently as two months ago, maybe that's why the hyperbole and casual tone over a stupid keepsake made my teeth itch, some people are completely detached from reality

But the title you clicked on CLEARLY says it's a post about a broken bauble, so why were you so shocked that it was about a broken bauble?

OP, you could ask on FB selling groups to see if anyone has one they'd like to sell. Just draft a post then copy and paste onto as many UK selling groups as you can.

Op, some posts here were way off but to be fair, nothing in your first post suggested light heartedness or humour but instead that your girl needs to grow some backbone. Read it back.

OP reminds me of Bridget Jones when Natasha asks Perpetua how's the house hunting going and she replies "Disaaaaaster" truly believing her predicament is awful.
