Unless they're distraught that's all I ever did? Minus the white noise.

Chineseorchips · 22/12/2023 20:00

I won’t be leaving but so frustrating. Just never get anything done!

Is baby happy or crying? & how old?

Pineapplewaves · 22/12/2023 20:04

How old is the baby? If they are under 6 months just take them with you and watch TV, read a book, enjoy your evening with your baby in your arms or in a sling. That's what I used to do, baby came to no harm.

idontlikealdi · 22/12/2023 20:08

That's what babies do. How old?

MiniCooperLover · 22/12/2023 20:12

How bothered is he by not being asleep? Is he crying, cooing, angry etc?

Singleandproud · 22/12/2023 20:15

Headphones and a well placed iPad so you can at least watch TV or listen to an audio book is a game changer. The ligh isn't much different than a nightlight.

But you can leave baby in the room if they are happy. Personally I just went to bed when baby did to catch up on sleep or TV but I didn't have a partner or any other children.

How old is baby? If small I’d just take them back downstairs with you
