Washing machine & dryer recommendations!

We are moving in January and finally have space again for a tumble dryer, however we also need to buy a new washing machine so I was wondering whether anyone had a washing machine/dryer in one and if you'd recommend it?

Nobody would they are all crap

Most people seem to think they break a lot earlier and often the drying load is much smaller than the washing load.

I have one, but I hardly ever use the drying mode. I normally spin twice (1600 rpm) and dry with a dehumidifier.

Every now and then I will use the drying mode, but only if I need something quickly in an emergency.

They are probably OK if you only want to do small amounts of drying, so if you are a couple or on your own and have alternative drying methods.

I do not think they are that suitable for "family scale" drying. You probably need a separate heat pump drier for that.

We have a Miele one that we're pretty happy with, definitely not as good as separate ones but we haven't the space.

If you're going to buy one, spend money on it. After 5 years with a crap Hotpoint that broke every 6 months we've now got an LG that was about £800 and it's great. We only use the tumble dryer in winter for towels and underwear though.

I was put off from buying one last year, but ignored advice. I got the candy smart WiFi washer dryer 9kg in black. Agros fitted and took the old one away too.

I'm extremely happy. Not too fussy. Easy to use. WiFi app is ok if needed. Very economical on water I've noticed.

I only use the dryer for towels if rushed. Works ok for me. In the end I was overthinking it. It's just a machine, and it's the luck of the draw.

Bit off topic but I find a heated airer better and the washing line weather allowing!!!

If you have the space get separates. They work so much better.

If you don't have the space for separates get a bosch or a miele one.

Thanks everyone

Separates it is, we've got a 7 month old and my husband works in a trade where his clothes are covered in dust and dirt all of the time so I'll be using dryer a fair amount in the winter.
