Christmas presents not delivered

I am hugely stressing, ordered calendars for mine and DH's parents with pictures of our 7mo DD for Christmas (4 calendars as each of our parents are remarried) and they haven't been delivered and I've had an email saying they are delayed 😭

I paid £12 express delivery guaranteed for Christmas Day from Photobox well within the time frame for the deadline for Christmas deliveries and they're just not here.

Photobox aren't replying on social media, no reply on web chat. What do I do? Urghhh has anyone else had problems with Photobox? First and last time I ever use them as I very much doubt they'll be delivered tomorrow 😢

They've always been reliable with anything I have ordered. I think you might just need to grin and bear it, explaining to the grandparents that there is a little delay outside your control. Could you wrap up something little as a holding gift?

Sodapop1 · 22/12/2023 16:43

Your parents are presumably adults so I’m sure they’ll understand! I would just get something small now and explain there is a hold up with their main presents.

I've done similar, paying £12 for delivery from photobox meant to be delivered on Monday this week and it's not here yet, feeling pretty annoyed about it because it probably won't be here in time either.

I made an order Monday with photobox and paid express and it only came this afternoon!

ZekeZeke · 22/12/2023 16:46

When did you place your order?

sparkellie · 22/12/2023 16:51

Why are they delayed? Is it photobox at fault for not sending them or delivery problems?
I've used them before and had no problems.
I've also had things delayed by royal mail this year, that may well not arrive in time for Christmas.

elm26 · 22/12/2023 16:54

Ordered a few weeks ago but paid express shipping just to be extra safe on the delivered by Christmas. We don't have the money to buy anything else to wrap, we spent a lot of money on the calendars and a couple of other personalised bits.

I've just been on their instagram and so many angry customers commenting on their photos. Definitely not Royal Mail at fault here it seems.

Your parents are grown ups. They won't mnd if they are a bit late. Would you if it was your kids?

Alyssa0101 · 22/12/2023 20:38

I had the same issue. Ordered a photo book and paid extra for guaranteed delivery by Christmas and had an email saying they have delays in printing. No reply to my email from them. Not happy. Yes they are busy this time of year but that's hardly a surprise to them. They shouldn't offer a service if they can't cope with the demand.

EliflurtleAndTheInfiniteMadness · 22/12/2023 20:53

Did they send a mock up of the calendar? If they did you could print that off and put it in side four cards. If they didn't you could put a picture of your DD in there and say theres slot more DD photos coming soon.

Howdoidoit100 · 22/12/2023 20:56

I ordered from them on Friday (just normal post). On Tuesday I had a message saying there was a delay. Wednesday I had a message saying it was posted and received it yesterday. I must have got lucky.

Ferretbitme · 22/12/2023 22:02

I got these e mails and mine came the next day

ZekeZeke · 23/12/2023 02:17

You can share your online creation with your in laws. They can view the calendars and wait for the originals by post.

It's the busiest time of year. I order from photobox every single year. They are fantastic quality. But I give myself plenty of time.

Thelondonone · 23/12/2023 03:51

Same with calendar but got photo cushion that I ordered later no problem.
